Lucknow: A grand celebration dedicated to motherhood, women empowerment and female entrepreneurship, titled “Maa. Market Magic,” was organised with great enthusiasm, vibrant performances and overwhelming participation at Hilton Garden Inn. The event was hosted by WomenShine and WomenShine Chamber of Entrepreneurship (WCE), bringing together women entrepreneurs, families, artists and prominent personalities from across the city.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The chief guest for the occasion was Kavita Somani, Director and HOD at ApolloMedics Superspeciality Hospital. Addressing the gathering, she spoke about women’s health, self-reliance and the growing role of women in society. She described such initiatives as vital platforms that encourage and empower women to move forward confidently.
The event was also graced by special guest Renuka Tandon, Past Chairperson of FICCI FLO, Director of Amren Group of Industries and Founder President of AMREN FOUNDATION. Widely recognised as a strong advocate for women’s rights and empowerment, she highlighted the importance of support from both society and families in helping women become self-reliant. She said that platforms like these provide women with opportunities to build their own identities and achieve financial independence.
One of the most emotional and inspiring highlights of the event was the “Super Mom Awards.” WCE had shared a special online link with schools across the city, inviting children to express why their mothers deserved to be called “Super Moms.” The initiative received an overwhelming response, with more than 250 heartfelt entries submitted by children. After a detailed selection process, 20 mothers were honoured with the “Super Mom Awards” and presented with trophies. The touching messages written by children for their mothers left the audience deeply moved.
More than 45 women entrepreneurs showcased their products through stalls at the exhibition, with many of them being members of WCE. The organisation continues to work as a non-profit platform dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs through networking opportunities, business promotion and recognition.
The exhibition featured a wide range of products crafted and curated by women entrepreneurs, including chikankari apparel, sarees, suits, handicrafts, bags, jewellery, health and wellness products, organic foods, home décor items, plants and lifestyle products. Visitors appreciated the efforts of the entrepreneurs and enthusiastically participated in shopping activities throughout the event.

An engaging open mic session further added energy to the celebration, where participants shared poetry, songs, stories and personal experiences. Young artist Dhruv captivated the audience with a soulful live music performance, making the atmosphere lively and entertaining.
The event also featured exciting lucky draws, with several attractive gifts distributed among winners. For children, women and families, the programme emerged as a unique blend of entertainment, shopping, inspiration and celebration.
Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Aparna Mishra, Founder of WCE, said that the aim of “Maa. Market Magic” was not merely to organise an exhibition, but to provide women with a platform where they could showcase their talent, businesses and inspiring stories before society. She added that the event was a successful step towards honouring motherhood, promoting women entrepreneurship and encouraging positive social change.
The programme witnessed the notable presence of distinguished personalities from the city, women entrepreneurs, families and young participants, making it a memorable celebration of women’s strength, creativity and resilience.
